Add an easier way to have a student's weekly session be evenly split into multiple weekly sessions

Some school districts require students to be seen multiple times each week. It would be nice if there were a way for a student Session (as entered in the caseload editor) to be automatically split into multiple sessions per week. Each of these sessions would have identical IEP goals, and the time would be split evenly.

This feature has been completed, and is now live on slpscheduler.com. The new version of the Caseload Editor now contains the ability to copy all kinds of items in lists, including one of a student's listed sessions.

This could be done by adding a new numeric field to the Session, which indicates how many ways to evenly split the entered Session.

  • It would default to 1, indicating no split.
  • A value of 2 would mean that the Session entered would be automatically split into 2 separate weekly sessions.

This functionality is very important. Without it, SLP Scheduler is functionally useless for me.

Thanks, everyone!

FYI, this can still be manually done today. It just requires adding multiple sessions per student, which will each be identical to each other.

For example if Jane needs to have 60 minutes of therapy evenly split across 2 sessions, you would add:

  • 1 session for 30 minutes per rotation
  • 1 (identical) session for 30 minutes per rotation

The engine will do the rest!
