3:1 Model

I would really like to try and implement a modified 3:1 workload schedule. Would it be possible to have the scheduler create an "a" and a "b" schedule... so to create a "weeks 1-3 schedule" and then a "week 4" schedule? For example, if a kid requires 90 minutes a month, they would be seen during weeks 1-3. For those that have 120+ minutes a month, for the "weeks 1-3" schedule you can put 90 minutes into the time to be seen and then for the "week 4" schedule you can put 30 min (or whatever else is required) for the time. So for example, I would like to see my "speedy speech" kids individually during weeks 1-3 and then block out a 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, etc. articulation group for that 4th week. During that "week 4" time it would be great to be able to also block out observation times by grade level, assessment time, articulation or social practice groups by grade level, etc. Is this even possible?

Duplicates 1

....maybe the easiest solution to this would be to allow more control over the time frame that the minutes are to be met in, i.e. semester, quarter, month, 3 weeks, etc) and then for the remaining minutes that need to be met during the 4th week one could manually schedule those in. Just a thought....

Thanks, Jill! A few thoughts:

  • For every student session you enter, you can currently specify the time in which the IEP minutes need to be met (rotation/week, month, quarter, semester, year). This functionality already exists, even though the dropdown defaults to per Quarter.
  • You can use the scheduling tool as-is today to do your 3:1 schedule. However, it requires that you manually pre-separate your caseload into the "A" caseload and "B" caseload, and then enter the number of IEP minutes per Rotation (i.e. per week). Since creating the schedules will require (approximately) double the computation behind the scenes, the only way for us to recuperate our costs is to ask you to purchase 2 caseloads.
  • However, if you're willing to let your 4th week be reserved for everything but therapy (i.e. no scheduled therapy sessions), then you can still do this while paying for only 1 caseload. Just enter the number of IEP minutes you want per Rotation (i.e. per week), and the engine should take care of the rest.

What do you think?

Hello! Good news, this is already possible with SLP Scheduler.
